John Fredriksen’s rig investment company Northern Drilling has appointed Scott McReaken as chief executive officer, effective today.
McReaken steps up from the roles of CFO at Northern Drilling and CEO of Seven Drilling, and succeeds Gunnar Winther Eliassen who will continue to support the company via Seatankers.
The appointment comes as West Mira, one of two cancelled semi-submersible rigs picked up by Fredriksen at Hyundai Samho, prepares to commence operations in Norway.
