Northport development on track

Kuala Lumpur: Northport’s RM1bn development plans to bring capacity up to 6.2m teu by 2016 are moving ahead well, according to NCB Holdings, the listed firm that runs the Port Klang terminal.

"We have completed Wharf 8A and that has given us an additional capacity of 600,000 TEUs, bringing Northport's capacity to 5.6 million TEUs. We also need to continuously expand to make the port bigger because the ships are getting bigger," said NCB director Datuk Zuraidah Atan at a results briefing yesterday.  [30/05/14]
