Norwegian Energy Company CEO steps down

Tommy Sundt has stepped down from his role of CEO at Norwegian North Sea E&P firm Noreco.

Sundt, who joined Noreco in September 2014, steps down with immediately effect, however will fill the role of general manager until the end of the year. Noreco said his departure, which comes just two months after the resignation of CFO, Odd Arne Slettebø, has been agreed with the board.

Noreco said the board will actively engage in the day-to-day management of the group of companies, with executive director Silje Augustson stepping into the group CEO role assuming additional functions and responsibilities. It is proposed that RiuIf Rustad will formally take over the role as chair of the board from Augustson, who will continue as a board member.

The company will also move its official headquarters from Stavenger to Oslo.
