Nova Marine Carriers and d’Amico offload handysize bulkers

Two Italian-controlled dry bulk ships are changing hands according to brokers.

Lugano-based Nova Marine Carriers has just sold 2009-built handysize bulk carrier Sider Caribe to Greek interests. The price for this ship around $8.3m whoever Vincenzo Romeo, head of the company, did not comment on the deal who asked. Some Italian brokers are confirming the deal has been closed.

Another handy, the 8-year-old Cielo di Livorno is being sold  by d’Amico di Navigazione via its Dublin-based company d’Amico Dry Ltd. An announcement is yet to come from the company but several sources suggest the deal has been finalised and the price is around $9m. The buyer is reported to be Greek also.
