Ocean Yield secures Connector contract extension

Norwegian shipowner Ocean Yield has been awarded a contract extension for the charter of its cable lay vessel Connector.

The latest extension will see the vessel continue to conduct cable lay operations for Orsted’s Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm project until September 30.

The charterer also has an option to further extend the contract to November 19.

Connector, formerly named Lewek Connecter, was previously on charter to Emas Chiyoda Subsea.
