Oceanica adds another Chevalier vessel

Brazil’s Oceanica has picked up an accommodation vessel CF Aurora from Chevalier Floatels.

The 2009-built vessel adds to the previously acquired sister vessel CF Fortune.

The Dutch-based Chevalier purchased both laid-up PSVs from Havila Shipping last year for conversion into walk-to-work units.

However, multiple brokers reported the units have now been picked up by Oceanica for conversion to light construction vessels for operations in Brazil. Oceanica also earlier snapped up Solstad Offshore’s 2008-built PSV Normand Sira.
