Dutch offshore services company Oceanteam has appointed Leidus Bosman as chief executive officer effective October 15.
Bosman moves from Seafox where he is finance director. He replaces former board member Diederik Legger, who has been interim CEO since May. Legger took the role after Haico Halbesma stepped down, sparking a series of resignations that included chairman Hessel Halbesma.
In April, former Seafox owner Keesjan Cordia took a $2.5m stake in Oceanteam, describing it as an interesting platform for consolidation, and became chairman.
On Bosman’s appointment, Cordia said: “In new and exciting times in our market, the time is right for a new leadership to successfully implement our growth strategy and take advantage of the upcoming opportunities. Mr. Bosman is an industry leader with a proven track record of execution. We are fortunate to have someone of Leidus’ calibre and experience to step up to lead Oceanteam.”
Meanwhile, CFO Jos van Dijk has left Oceanteam with immediate effect.
