Odfjell Drilling secures drillship work in Southeast Asia

Norwegian offshore drilling contractor Odfjell Drilling has, on behalf of Golden Close Maritime, secured a letter of intent with an undisclosed party for drilling works in Southeast Asia.

Odfjell Drilling’s drillship Deepsea Metro I will be contracted for two firm wells with options for one further well and three sidetracks. The firm contract period is around 150 days and will commence in the third quarter of 2017.

The drillship is owned by Golden Close Maritime and managed by Odfjell Drilling.

Last week, Odfjell Drilling received a letter of intent for further employment for its semi-submersible drilling rig Deepsea Bergen in the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
