Odfjell Drilling wins Maria field drilling contract from Wintershall

Odfjell Drilling has been awarded a contract from Wintershall for the drilling of six production wells on the Maria field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The firm contract will utilise semi-submersible Deepsea Stavanger and has an expected duration of 574 days. Drilling will commence around April 1, 2017 and the total contract is worth around $175m.

This contract represents yet another recognition of Odfjell Drilling’s ability to provide efficient drilling operations in harsh environment areas and I can assure that Odfjell Drilling will demonstrate the company’s firm commitment to the successful development drilling of the Maria field.”

The contract contains further options, a one-well option prior to the commencement of the firm contract and two well options afterwards.
