Okeanis Eco Tankers secures VLCC charter

Oslo-listed Greek owner Okeanis Eco Tankers (OET) has entered into a time charter contract with an unnamed national energy company for one of its VLCC vessels.

Either the Nissos Donoussa or Nissos Kythnos will commence a one-year contract from November, at a gross daily rate of $34,000 per day.

The vessel will be re-delivered to OET in the spot market in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Alafouzos family-controlled OET currently owns a fleet of 11 tankers.
