Olympic Shipping acquires newbuild suezmaxes from Arcadia

Greek owner Olympic Shipping and Management has acquired two newbuild suezmax tankers from compatriot Arcadia Shipmanagement.

According to broker sources, the two 159,000dwt tankers, Aegean Miracle and Aegean Fighter, were sold for $112m in total.

The vessels are currently under construction at South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industry, with delivery scheduled in June 2017.

In February, Olympic Shipping and Management acquired two newbuild VLCCs from Metrostar Management en bloc at a price of $81m each.
