One dead and one injured in accidents at Port Everglades

A supervisor for Sun Terminals died at Port Everglades on Monday when a golf cart she was driving collided with a terminal truck.

The accident happened around 2:30pm at an intersection without traffic signals. Luisa Anderson’s cart collided with a terminal truck and she was thrown from the cart only to be run over by the vehicle.

Earlier in the day, the port had to deal with another accident involving a terminal truck.

A worker from Florida International Terminal was injured when his truck fell on its side while carrying a fully loaded container it had unloaded from containership Elisabeth S.
