One tanker in and one tanker out at Capital Product Partners

Capital Product Partners has agreed to sell 2013-built chemical product tanker Aristotelis to an undisclosed party for $29.4m.

The 51,604 dwt vessel, built at Hyundai Mipo, is scheduled for delivery to its new owner in March and will see Capital report an impairment charge of $3.3m.

Last week, Splash linked Filipino owner Chelsea Shipping Corporation to the acquisition in our weekly S&P roundup Weekly Broker.

Dependant on the completion of the sale, Capital has agreed to acquire the 2016-built MR product tanker Anikitos from associate company Capital Maritime for $31.5m. The vessel is currently on charter to Petrobras at $15,300 per day with a firm period until at least June 2020.

Capital Partners says it will fund the Anikitos acquisition with the funds from the sale of Aristotelis, and expects to take delivery in March.
