OOCL extends charter of Diana boxship

Greek owner Diana Containerships has sealed a deal with Hong Kong’s OOCL to extend the time charter contract 2006-built post-panamax containership Pucon for a period of 8 to 12 months.

The charter extension commences June 22 at a rate of $18,000 per day, a significant increase on the $10,750 per day previously paid by OOCL.

Diana says the extension will generate around $4.32m based on the minimum time charter period.

Having just announced the sale of two vessels, Diana Containerships has a fleet of just four vessels made up of two panamaxes and two post-panamaxes.
