Orders stack up for Hanjin Heavy in Subic

Manila: The good times for Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction's Philippine yard continue. The Korean's facility in Subic has just won a letter of intent from an unspecified European owner to build eight 5,400 teu ships.

Hanjin's Subic yard has already scored some $600m of new orders this year in the form of 6,800 teu boxships and 38,000 cu m LPG carriers.

The yard is now actively trying to enter the offshore sector.  [12/03/13]
