Orient Shipping snaps up Fairmont handy

Dutch dry bulk owner Orient Shipping has snapped up a Mitsubishi-built handysize King Wheat from the Ho family-controlled Fairmont Shipping.

The 2009-built vessel changed hands for around $11.9m to $12m according to broking reports, with Intermodal identifying Orient Shipping as the buyer. The Vesselsvalue market value of the ship is $11.76m.

The acquisition takes the Orient fleet to 12 vessels, all handysizes.
