Oriental Energy charters five VLGC newbuildings

Shanghai: Chinese liquefied gas and oil industry player, Oriental Energy’s subsidiary, Oriental Energy (Singapore) International Trading Company, has inked a 10-year VLGC charter contract with Hartmann Schiffahrts.

The agreement covers five 50,000 dwt VLGC newbuildings, which are due to be delivered between May 2017 and January 2018. The 10-year contract includes another five-year option.

Earlier this year, Oriental Energy signed charter contracts with Shandong Shipping and Kumiai Senpaku for five VLGCs. [24/09/14]
