Pacific Basin snaps up Nova Marine Carriers handysize

Having spent the first four month of the year buying vessels, Lugano-based Nova Marine Carriers has turned seller by offloading handysize bulk carrier Sider Venus for a price of around $12.5m.

Sources have revealed to Splash that the buyer is Hong Kong-based Pacific Basin.

The Swiss shipping group, controlled by Giovanni Romeo, recently bought a 2015-built handysize from Nisshin Shipping, two handysize sister ships from United Seven KG and mini-bulker Sirios Bulker I (renamed Sider Sirios) from Greece’s Sirios Shipmanagement.
