Palawan – Sabah roro link in the offing

Manila: Palawan Governor Jose Alvarez has discussed a brand new roro link between the western Philippine island and Malaysia, saying it will boost trade and tourism. The link will head from Brooke’s Point in the south of Palawan to Kudat in Malaysia in north Sabah.

The ship can carry 420 tons of cargo and 680 passengers.

"If this materializes, it's not only profitable in terms of trade, but will also boost Palawan's tourism industry," said Alvarez
Links to Brooke’s Point and the terminal itself are undergoing an upgrade this year.  [03/09/13]
