Anglo-French oil and gas firm Perenco has bought a 70% interest in the Teak, Samaan and Poui (TSP) Block of oilfields offshore Trinidad and Tobago.
Perenco will operate the blocks, which it acquired from a subsidiary of Spanish giant Repsol called Repsol E&P T&T.
The fields, located southeast of Trinidad, produce 14,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Perenco’s main interests previously have been in Europe’s North Sea.
