Perishables damaged at overcrowded Jeddah

Doha: The severe overcrowding at Saudi Arabia's top port, Jeddah, is leading to tons of perishables going to waste as trucks wait half a day to unload or pick up their cargoes. The port, operating well beyond its design capacity, is still suffering from a recent fire at a sugar refinery in the port.  (21/07/13)
