Peter Norborg named as new CEO of Clipper Group

Peter Norborg has been named as the new CEO of Clipper Group, replacing Frank G Jensen, who stepped into the position in July when former group CEOs Kristian Morch and Gary Vogel left the company.

Norborg will join Clipper in April 2016 from Gearbulk, where he has worked as COO since 2012. Previous to Gearbulk, Norborg spent 14 years working for Denmark’s Norden, where he rose to become its executive vice-president and head of its dry cargo division.

“Peter is one of the most skilled and experienced dry bulk executives in the current shipping community, and I am convinced that he is the right man to lead Clipper for many years to come,” said Jensen, who continue as chairman of Clipper’s board of directors.

“Clipper is a very strong dry bulk company with solid foundations, strong complementary businesses within ferries and ro-ro and strong values,” said Norborg. “I look very much forward to getting to know the company and exchanging ideas and experiences with my new team.”
