Petra Energy awarded accommodation vessel contracts by Petronas

Malaysia’s Petra Energy announced that its subsidiary Petra Resources had won two contracts from Petronas for providing accommodation workboats.

The contracts are for the 2009-built Petra Orbit and Petra Galaxy with a duration of up to 255 days and an option to extend up to 60 days.

The work has already commenced, and the value is based on work orders issued by Petronas throughout the contract duration, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The marine support service provider owns and operates eight accommodation work barges and workboats.
