Petrobras splashes out on Posh accommodation vessel
Singapore: PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd. (Posh) has announced it has won a charter contract for its semi-submersible accommodation vessel “Posh Xanadu” for use by Petrobras.
Petrobras will charter the “Posh Xanadu” for one year to support activities in Campos Basin with a charter cost of US$80.5m. There is an option to extend for another year which would see the total contract value surpass $144m.
Gerald Seow, ceo of Posh said, “This contract was awarded after a stringent assessment by Petrobras on the operating capabilities of the “Posh Xanadu”. It confirms the capability of our SSAV design to meet the operating requirements of deepwater oil field operations around the world and reaffirms the strong demand in the deepwater accommodation sector.” [14/05/14]
