Petronas delays Sabah terminal startup

Kuala Lumpur: Petronas has delayed the start of operations at its Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal in Kimanis (SOGT) by at least three months.

Covering an area of about 250 acres, SOGT will have the capacity to handle up to 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 1bn cu ft of gas per day. The terminal was expected to launch in the first quarter of this year.

The new terminal will complement the operations of the existing Sabah Gas Terminal, the Labuan Crude Oil Terminal and the Labuan Gas Terminal, which will continue to handle the oil and gas produced from other fields in offshore Sabah. [12/02/14]
