PGS sells survey vessel to JOGMEC

Offshore survey service provider PGS has sold 2009-built survey vessel Ramform Sterling to Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC).

PGS offered to sell the vessel to JOGMEC in November as part of a tender process, with a sale price of approximately $100m. JOGMEC will take delivery of the vessel late April.

PGS will receive about 75% of the cash proceeds at delivery, with the remaining amount scheduled to be paid in 2020.

Following the sale PGS will be left with a fleet of 13 vessels, seven of which are active while six are currently laid up.
