PIL signs MoU with Beibu Gulf Port

Guangzhou: Singaporean shipping company Pacific International Lines (PIL) has signed an MOU with Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group at the recently held China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning.

Under the agreement, the two parties will strengthen cooperation in the field of port development and operation, integrated logistics system and shipping routes.

“The MoU will help enhance the gateway function and complete the logistics system of Beibu Gulf Port,” said an official from Beibu Gulf.

China is strengthening its shipping ties with ASEAN countries. Guangxi’s Qingzhou Port also signed a sister port agreement with Kuantan Port of Malaysia this week. [18/09/14]
