Pingtan Minghui Shipping acquires supramax bulker via acution

Fujian owner Pingtan Minghui Shipping has acquired the 2006-built supramax bulk carrier  Polestar via an online auction arranged by Wuhan Maritime Court.

The vessel was sold for RMB58.74m ($9.28m).

The vessel was previously owned by Greek company Tortuga Navigation, but was detained by the court at the request of the ship’s crew due to a salary payment dispute.

Pingtan Minghui Shipping mainly operates in the domestic bulk shipping business with a fleet of four bulkers.
