Pistiolis fires in for more suezmaxes

Central Shipping Monaco, owned by Evangelos Pistiolis, has exercised options for two 157,000 dwt suezmax tankers at Hyundai Samho in South Korea. No price has been revealed for the pair, which will deliver in the first quarter of 2020. As with its firm units, the Pistiolis options will be fitted with scrubbers.

The order cements news that Hyundai Samho has finally filled out all its berths for next year. The yard is an affiliate of Hyundai Heavy Industries. With three drydocks, Hyundai Samho can build up to 50 ships a year, with tankers leading its orderbook.
