Polarcus wins new survey work in Australia

Dubai-based seismic vessel operator Polarcus has announced a new contract, from an undisclosed client, for a 3D marine seismic project in Australia.

Polarcus said the survey will take around one month, and will utilise the XArray technique for broadband high cross line density data acquisition.

The project will commence in the fourth quarter of 2016 following the Capreolus 3D project currently being conducted in the same area.

Polarcus has been surveying at the Capreolus 3D project since October 2014, with a survey area of around 22,000 sq km across the Roebuck Basin, offshore the North West Shelf.
