Ports Supreme Council meeting held

Cairo: Dr Hatem Abdel Latif, minister of transport and communications, chaired on Tuesday the first meeting of the Ports Supreme Council for the past 12 months. The meeting was called to re-consider adding some amendments to the regulations and decisions governing the work within the maritime transport sector, and to make the industry more attractive for foreign direct investment.

The meeting talked about proposals for the development of the Egyptian commercial fleet and providing some incentives to encourage investors to enter the field of maritime transport. Incentives were also discussed for cruise calls.  [17/04/13]
