Posidonia out in front as the one must-attend event in the shipping calendar

With five days until voting closes in our latest survey, the organisers of Posidonia, the biennial Greek shipping event, are ready to celebrate being crowned the must-attend event in the shipping calendar. With more than 400 votes cast in our latest MarPoll, Posidonia is leading SMM and Nor-Shipping and a host of other well-known events as the show that is the most important in shipping to head to.

Results of the survey will be revealed in the next issue of Maritime CEO magazine due out later this month.

Theo Vokos, executive director of Posidonia Exhibitions, told Splash today: “We would like to thank all ‘Posidonians’ for their continuous support over the years and especially our exhibitors and the Greek shipping community, as without their commitment and active engagement Posidonia would not be the must-attend event it has become.”

Vokos continued: “As Greek shipping continues to be the most dynamic force in the maritime industry, Posidonia will always serve as the global meeting point and the most attractive marketplace for the international shipping industry.”

Posidonia returns next June with Vokos vowing it will be bigger than ever.

MarPoll is our quarterly topical survey. Other questions posed this time around look at autonomous ships, tanker consolidation, making shipping a more attractive career option for today’s youth and bunker fuel levies among other issues. To vote takes just two minutes – although we do appreciate readers leaving comments – and there is no need for any registration. To vote click here.
