Bangkok: Precious Shipping has announced that it has entered into eight shipbuilding contracts, for four 39,000 dwt and four 64,000 dwt bulk carriers.
The vessels are being built at Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering and will be delivered beginning mid-2015 through to mid-2016. The 39,000 dwt vessels will cost Precious $21.96m each and the 64,000 dwt vessels $27.48m each.
Precious Shipping currently has a fleet of 40 vessels, made up of 31 handysizes and 9 supramaxes. [23/12/13]
