Prosafe lays up accommodation vessel as another comes out of contract

Prosafe is preparing to lay-up accomodation vessel Jasmina as another vessel, Safe Britannia, comes out of contract.

Jasmina, which has a capacity to accommodate 535 people, has been out of contract since February 2015 and is now being relocated to a lay-up location.

Prosafe’s fleet utilization rate in the fourth quarter of 2015 dropped significantly to 62%, and while Safe Hibernia has extended its contract until end of the first quarter of 2016, Safe Britannia came out of contract at the end of December 2015 and remains in operational readiness mode awaiting new assignments.
