Prosafe shuffles management, appoints new CEO

Offshore accommodation platform operator Prosafe has announced changes to its management team as part of a reorganisation.

The company has appointed Jesper Kragh Andresen as chief executive officer of Prose Management, with Stig H. Christiansen appointed deputy CEO and chief financial officer. Georgina Georgiou will continue as general manager of the parent company Prosafe SE.

Andresen has previously served as CEO of Axis Offshore, president of Lauritzen Offshore and managing director of J. Lauritzen Singapore.

Prosafe intiated a shore-based business reorganization in July 2016 in order to remain competitive in the difficult market conditions.

In December, the company completed the acquisition of two semi-submersible newbuilds from Axis Offshore.

“The company has been through a fundamental financial restructuring and has implemented substantial efficiency measures and cost reductions during the past year. Further cost measures are being implemented during 2017. Prosafe will now focus even more toward the external market and on improving the supply side of the industry,” said Glen Rødland, chairman of Prosafe.

The new organisation will be effective March 1.
