Prosafe vessel extended by Aker BP

Aker BP has exercised an option with semi-submersible accommodation vessel owner Prosafe for tender support vessel Safe Scandinavia.

The option is the first of eight one-month options held, and valued at around $4.5m.

Safe Scandinavia is operating at the Ula platform in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, with the option taking the contract through to the end of April 2019.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List.
