Prosafe wins new North Sea contract

Oslo-listed Prosafe has won a new contract from an undisclosed client for an accommodation vessel to operate in the UK sector of the North Sea.

The contract begins in the second quarter of 2016, and is for a period of eight months. Prosafe will initially utilise Safe Zephyrus and will then later replace the vessel with Safe Notos.

In addition to the initial eight month contract worth around $60m, the client has a further four one month options.

On Friday Prosafe was awarded a three-year charter contract by Petrobras for semi-submersible accommodation vessel Safe Eurus offshore Brazil.
