Shanghai: Prospector Offshore Drilling announced that it has reclassified the offshore rig Prospector 6, which is under construction at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding as an asset held for sale.
The company is in advanced discussion with a number of different parties for the sale of the rig and it has signed a contract amendment with Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding to delay the delivery of rig for up to four months from the earlier scheduled time of December 2014.
Currently the company has another two rigs“Prospector 7”and “Prospector 8” under construction at Waigaoqiao. [17/11/14]
