Doha: Qatar is willing to help Iran develop its share of the world’s largest gas field.
Located beneath the waters of the Persian Gulf, the giant gas field, which is called South Pars by Iran and North Field by Doha, is shared by the two countries. It accounts for nearly all of Qatar’s gas production and around 60% of its export revenues, according to Reuters. [25/12/13]
