Qingdao bulker auction fails

The auction of the geared bulk carrier  Cabot Aviva failed at the Qingdao Maritime Court in China yesterday. A second round of bids will now be tabled with another auction likely in April. The ship is controlled by a Chinese entity called Transvast.

The auction had been called in January by China’s Bank of Communications in the wake of a loan dispute.
