Rabiagh port operational by year-end

Doha: Abdullatif Al-Othman, governor and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), has announced that King Abdullah Economic City's port in Rabiagh will commence operations by the end of this year. 

The 1.7m teu capacity port is one of a raft of new Saudi ports under construction.

The Ports Development Company, a Saudi company that was founded by an alliance between Saudi Bin Laden Group and Emaar Economic City, is developing the port in King Abdullah Economic City.  [28/04/13]
