Raise efficiency, not prices, Indonesian owners urge local ports

Jakarta: The Indonesian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA) has called for local ports to cease tariff hikes for at least two years until services and infrastructure sufficiently improve.

“There should be a clear target [put in place] so that our ports can reach the same level of productivity and efficiency,” INSA’s deputy chairman for containers, general cargo and human resources, Asmari Herry said.  [11/01/13]
