RBD Armatori puts three bulkers up for sale

Naples-baded RBD Armatori is in there process for reducing its fleet from 17 to 14 vessels, having just announced that is going to sell three panamax bulk carriers, aged between 16 and 19 years, through a competitive sale procedure.

“The sale is part of the business plan provided for the restructuring plan based on the Italian procedure scheme defined ‘concordato preventivo in continuità’ started on a going concern basis in 2015,” the statement reports.

“As a matter of fact, the plan includes the streamlining of the fleet to strengthen the organization and optimize business results while focusing on modern and technologically advanced vessels and more strategic business lines” it continued.

RBD Armatori’s CEO, Giuseppe Mauro Rizzo, underlined that “the transaction will be carried out in agreement and under the control of the bodies governing the arrangement proceedings”.
