RCL ship rams pedestrian walkway in Bangkok

A spectacular video has emerged on YouTube of the moment the Xetha Bhum containership ploughs into a pedestrian walkway in Bangkok.

The Regional Container Lines’ (RCL) ship lost control while transiting the Chao Praya river, leaving the Thai capital on Sunday. A strong current was blamed for the accident. The ship was checked for damage and then carried on its way to Singapore.

The same ship sufferd huge damage to its starboard side when it collided with a Vietnamese ship in Singapore in 2011.
