Muscat: Sohar Industrial Port Company (SIPC) has become the first port in the region to promote greener shipping, setting up a reward scheme as an incentive for clean ships who call at Port of Sohar. The reward scheme consists of a rebate on the port dues, offered to vessels participating in the Environmental Ship Index (ESI). Details of the reward scheme will be published on www.portofoshar.com.
