Hanoi: The Ministry of Transport has revealed the latest serious redundancies at two state-run shipping related firms. Following an equitisation process, a total of 7,737 people were made redundant at Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) and the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC, formerly known as Vinashin).
Many ports are also set to be equitized before year-end. [10/10/14]
