Rig Tenders Indonesia focuses on offshore

Jakarta: PT Rig Tenders Indonesia is changing its profile to be less reliant on moving coal and far more into the offshore support business.

Two more OSVs are set to join the fleet in the second half bringing the company’s offshore component to 11 ships. It has a further 71 vessels transporting coal.

Senior management reckon revenues from offshore will climb from 20% to 30% of overall sales for the group this year.
The company has sold four coal barges this year. It sold 15 similar vessels in 2012 as it reduces its exposure in that sector.
Founded in 1974 PT Rig Tenders Indonesia listed in Jakarta in 1990. The controlling shareholder of the company is Scomi Marine Services with just over 80% of the issued shares.  [27/06/13]
