Rocket attack halts oil shipments at Zawiya

Cairo: Production has been temporarily shut down at the 340,000-barrels-a-day Sharara field in Libya after a rocket hit a tank at the terminal it supplies in the port city of Zawiya.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates’ General Port Authorities has stopped the loading of all containers for export and transhipment bound for Libya’s ports.

No official statement about the stoppage has been released yet.  [18/09/14]
