Rodolphe Saadé takes the reins at CMA CGM

Jacques Saadé has marked his 80th birthday by appointing his son Rodolphe Saadé as chief executive officer of CMA CGM.

Rodolphe Saadé has served with CMA CGM since 1994 and most recently served as executive officer. He recently led the takeover of Singapore line NOL.

Jacques Saadé, commenting on the appointment, said: “Rodolphe has proven himself over the years, and he has my deepest trust as chief executive officer of the group. I know that, with Rodolphe as CEO, with Farid Salem and Tanya Saadé Zeenny, our executive officers, and all our teams around the world, the group will continue its development with the same commitment and passion”.

Jacques Saadé remains chairman of the board of directors.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
