Romeo offloads cement carrier to Sirios Shipmanagement

After 17 years service, cement carrier Turbocem was sold by the Romeo family-controlled Shipping Technical Management to Sirios Shipmanagement of Greece.

The deal was confirmed to Splash by Vincenzo Romeo, today at the helm of Nova Marine Carriers, although he did not disclose further details. The price should range between $1m and $2m.

Turbocem had been deployed for many years in the Mediterranean basin and on the Italian cabotage routes on behalf of the Italian shipping company Medcem, which was jointly controlled by Romeo and the Italcementi group.
